Philadelphia Water Department (PWD)
At West Cary Group, I lead creative work for our PWD client, turning complex infrastructure plans for the Water Revitalization Plan (WRP) into clear communications for Philadelphians. Collaborating closely with the project’s engineers, we’re helping Philadelphians understand how this multi-decade plan—spanning neighborhoods across the city—will protect and improve their drinking water.

Visualizing Philadelphia’s Water Future
Our creative work focuses on helping Philadelphians understand how these upgrades might impact their communities and when. In many cases, we use illustration to:
• Explain complicated topics in accessible ways
• Increase engagement at events and online
• Strengthen brand recognition and trust

SRX Impact Report
One of our first collaborations with the PWD team was creating a series of illustrations explaining the impact of the Schuylkill River Crossing project, to support a written document.

WRP One-Pager
We then collaborated to create a public-facing communication summarizing key aspects if the Water Revitalization Plan, and illustrating key project locations across the city. This one-pager — which would be both handed out at events and distributed electronically — highlights the different ways the WRP will benefit Philadelphians.

WRP Project Pages
The one-pager was designed to directed people to the WRP’s construction page for more information, so we created iterations of the core map to be used on each individual project page.
Community Listening Sessions
PWD held these public meetings to build awareness for their Water Revitalization Plan, and looked to us for creative that would encourage sign ups, and keep people engaged during the sessions. The result? The best-attended community listening sessions they had ever hosted.
